Why Lightning Springs Beef?

Here at Lightning Springs Ranch, we are dedicated to producing high quality beef naturally. We do not use growth hormones or feed antibiotics to our animals. Instead we let the cattle grow at their pace, the way nature intended. Our cows have over 18,000 acres to roam on, this in conjunction with clean air at between 6,000 and 12,000 feet above sea level and the pure water of Utah's High-Uintah's make this a remarkably stress free environment.
Lightning Springs Beef comes from our ranch directly to the consumer. Industrialized beef comes from all over the country to four or five packing plants, traveling roughly 1400 miles and changing hands up to eight times. Also the cattle raised on grass in the open have much less saturated fat and increased amounts of Omega-3's. With Lightning Springs Beef you can be sure your meat is from the mountains of northeastern Utah
